Wimbledon is known the world over for the tennis tournament that is held here each summer, and a strange species of wildlife known as the Wombles, who live on the Common. If you are a real tennis fan, you may be prepared to queue for tickets to access the outside courts in the first week of the tournament, but be warned, you will have to wait for hours, and there is no guarantee you will get in.
