We had a very lovely stay. This site is ideally situated if you like walking. At the bottom of the site you can pick up the coastal path to either Lymington or Keyhaven (it took us about 20mins to walk to Keyhaven) and Milford on Sea. Or you can catch the ferry to the Isle of Wight. If you have dogs like we do, it is ideal, and most of the pubs are dog/child friendly. We had a great meal in the Chequers which is a short walk across the field. The site itself is flat and has a wonderful view, the toilets were clean, showers were hot although I think there could be a queue in the summer months. The shop did not sell much that I could see other than drinks and sweets but there is a McCoys store at the top of the lane. We would definitely be visiting again.

The location of this campsite was excellent, lovely walks, views etc BUT the toilet blocks were appalling; broken, cracked showers; filthy sinks and floors; intermittent soap/toilet paper - in general they looked as if they hadn't been cleaned or had any maintenance for months. Luckily we stayed there in a motorhome so we had our own facilities; because of this we would probably return as the location is so convenient but I wouldn't want to stay there in a tent!

All the reviews seem to be put on by moaning minnies. Any issue made known to us are redressed immediately, especially toilet issues.Or are they not real people. It is easy to make a name up and type in fake reviews consisting of a few paragraphs.

For an expensive campsite Hurst View had little to recommend it. There were few toilets dotted around, and these weren't in great shape. The ladies had no light in it, and was a very long way from the field that I was in. Of the 4 ladies showers (now this is a very big campsite so there were always long queues), only 2 of gave out any hot water. The location was lovely but there were other campsites in the area. I suggest you find them!

Just returned (early) from a long weekend at the Hurst View Campsite and was not impressed at all. In one field was a portacabin with dirty leaking toilets for the ladies and a dirty stainless steel trough for the gents. No hot water, soap or means of drying your hands. In the main field were a number of wooden huts with more dirty toilets and small dirty showers. A 6am visit to the toilets or showers still resulted in queues as there were only 5 ladies cubicles and only a couple for men. This reminded me of the basic facilities at campsites in the seventies.

Try it for a getaway honeymoon. We did for our 52nd, it was perfect!
